Strides in artificial intelligence and machine learning over the last few years have been nothing short of breathtaking. Algorithms can recognize faces, draft advertisements, detect fraud, and invest in the stock market. But how do those algorithms work (or not, as the case may be...)? And what kinds of risks do we expose ourselves to when we allow decision making to become increasingly automated? In this session lead by Professor Daniel Guetta, we will take a deep dive into some more recent advances in the field, followed by a critical discussion of some of the pitfalls that result.

changes in the job market, along with every other aspect of our lives. In the
career management center, we work closely with alumni and students to
effectively apply strategies and perspectives that allow you to forge ahead
when things get tough. In this workshop, we will coach you on mindsets,
behaviors, and techniques to strengthen your emotional resilience and manage
challenges with more courage and compassion. The workshop will be led by two
certified leadership coaches from the CMC who specialize in topics related to
resilience and wellness, Nancy Farina Johnston and James Wu ’13.
